Patrons
Five
types of patrons may borrow materials
from the Libraries – Faculty, administrative
staff, undergraduates, graduates,
and alumni. A
valid picture ID is required for all
patrons for checkout.

Checkout Rules
Books must be checked out at Circulation Desk on the 1st Floor. Each book can be renewed
in
person,
or
on-line. Listed below is the rule for book borrowing:

Audio-visual
items (videos, CD-ROMS, DVD, VCD, etc.) must be checked out at Multi-Media Desk on the 5th
Floor. Some items reserved for
a special purpose are not available
for checkout. Alumni
borrowers are not eligible for checking
out audio-visual items. Listed below is the rule for audio-visual items borrowing:

- Items
that are recalled can not be renewed.
When a recalled item is returned,
the patron will be notified that
the item is being held for him/her
for three days.
- The
total items(books and audio-visual
items)that can be checked out are
up to 20 for faculty, staff, and
graduates, and 10 for undergraduates.
(3).
Fines
A
notice to remind you to return borrowed
items is sent by e-mail 3 days before
due date. Fines accrue on overdue
books at NT$2 per day, per book, and
on audio-visual items at NT$10 per day, per item. For lost and damaged
items, patrons are charged for replacement
costs.
